Kathleen Freeman

Kathleen Freeman, MHA, is a Senior Consultant at COPE Health Solutions and has 10 years of experience in the health care industry.

Prior to joining Cope Health Solutions, Ms. Freeman was the Manager of Value-Based Care and Population Health for SSM Health, a leading health system in St. Louis, Missouri. Ms. Freeman has designed, supported and lead population health initiatives which include CMS MSSP risk-based models and clinically integrated networks. She has experience in operationalizing total cost of care models for Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid populations, including creating ambulatory care coordination teams and post-acute networks. Additionally, Ms. Freeman has prior consulting experience, mainly supporting underserved populations through project-work to create sustainable solutions for behavioral health provider reimbursement and used a social-determinants-of-health-approach to help revitalize complex communities with health disparities. Her portfolio also includes building a payment engine for all non-fee-for-service provider payments at a nationally known Managed Service Organization (MSO).

Ms. Freeman earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in Chemistry from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and her Master of Health Administration degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
