Angela Scalf

Angela Standish-Scalf, AGS, NRCMA-Instructor is a Medical Assistant Instructor at COPE Health Solutions containing more than 20 years of experience in the medical field. Ms. Scalf began her career as an EMT-Paramedic in Texas for 911 service. Following Ms. Scalf was promoted to an EMT-Supervisor maintaining this role for 10 years. She continued her education, leading her to instruct EMT-Paramedic courses for San Jacinto College. Additionally, Mrs. Scalf became the Clinical Preceptor for Ben Taub, Herman, LBJ emergency rooms for EMT- Paramedic students. At San Jacinto College she taught Medical Assisting at the College of the Healthcare Professions for many years until she relocated to Florida. 

 

Ms. Scalf holds a degree in General Studies with a focus on Education and holds Instructor certifications with the following entities; NRCMA, NHA, Texas Department of Health EMS, and the American Heart Association, where she once trained medical professionals in ACLS, PALS, BTLS. Ms. Scalf is also a trained instructor for high angel rescue, crisis intervention, swift water rescue, confined spaces, HAZMAT, and OSAH. 

 

Ms. Scalf was a member of the curriculum board for several EMS schools and consulted for local EMS transfer and 911 services as well as Advisory Board Member for her local 911 service. She also sat on the Curriculum Board for the Medical Assistant program at CHCP for five years.
