Kathy Walker

Kathy Walker, CPA, is an Executive Consultant at COPE Health Solutions with more than 25 years of extensive health care experience in senior leadership roles for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s) and hospitals. She has extensive experience in finance, strategic planning, contracting, reimbursement, financial management, revenue cycle and business development. She has led turnarounds and development of collaborative relationships that resulted in expansion of critical access to care at significant cost reductions.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Walker served as a consultant to a variety of FQHC’s and hospitals. In this role, Ms Walker provided financial consulting, developed and implemented turnaround plans, assisted with strategic planning and implementation, transitioned clinics in to FQHCs and FQHC look-a-like clinics, developed new service lines, facilitated innovative contracting opportunities that aligned incentives and resulted in significantly improved outcomes, served as a mentor to senior management and developed collaborative relationships that allowed for new innovative opportunities. Ms. Walker has served as an executive in multiple health centers and hospitals, including WellSpace Health, Del Norte Health Center, Peach Tree Health Center, Coastal Health Alliance, Sutter Health, Trinity Hospital and Glenn Medical Center.

Ms. Walker earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California and currently holds a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certificate.
